After spending 11 years as a published journalist and writing for outlets including VentureBeat and Becker’s Hospital Review, I’ve made the career decision to join Treble PR as the agency’s Content & Media Strategist.

The field of communications is at a critical inflection point. AI and new technologies have splintered where, how and for what purpose media and information are consumed. Not only that, but generationally, mindsets and preferences are shifting too. Because of this, staying at the forefront — on the edge of the cutting edge — is where words, communications, content and strategies must also live.

I saw this change hurling at the field as a young employee, and it underscored my decision to go back to school. In fall of 2023, I graduated with a master’s degree in communications and emphasis in journalism innovation, from Syracuse University to supplement my bachelor’s degree in the field. My time working as a journalist and alongside others in media has deepened connections across the media ecosystem.

Working as a journalist both in small-town, rural Colorado where I grew up, and in the stark opposite: booming Silicon Valley since then, has allowed me to become a versatile, dynamic and accurate wordsmith.

I look forward to bringing my deeply ingrained love for media, news and writing — and my experience covering news in the very same industries in which Treble’s clients work —  to the agency.

Last year, Treble expanded its West Coast presence, bringing in B2B public relations experts, Will Kruisbrink, as vice president in San Francisco and Jim Cameron, as director in San Diego. I'm happy to be part of the latest hiring efforts to expand on the agency's efforts to focus resources out in the heart of Silicon Valley.
