The third edition of Treble’s agency retreat took place in San Diego, where the entire team gathered for three days of bonding, learning and professional development. This year’s theme was resilience, with a particular focus on the Seven C's: competence, confidence, connection, character, contribution, coping and control.

Day 1 began with a catamaran tour of San Diego Bay, featuring this resilient guest star (a local sea lion) followed by a group dinner at sunset.

Back in the hotel conference room, the team practiced their media relations, pitching and communication skills through workshops and presentations, then relaxed with a beach bonfire.

What stood out during our time together was the perfect balance of professional development and team bonding that energized everyone involved. From seasoned directors to team members just months into their Treble journey, the retreat created space for meaningful knowledge exchange and collaboration. The structured workshops provided actionable insights to navigate today's evolving media landscape, while our social activities strengthened our team's connections in ways that will enhance our client service long after the retreat ended.

The San Diego setting proved to be the ideal backdrop for both reflection and forward thinking. Throughout the retreat, team members shared experiences about their career journeys, discussed shifts in media relations, and explored new strategies to better support CMOs and founders. These conversations exemplified Treble's commitment to continuous learning and our culture of mentorship, where every team member contributes to our collective growth and success. Colleagues left feeling inspired, refreshed, and equipped with new perspectives to elevate their client work.

Here's what some of our colleagues had to say about the retreat:

Elizabeth Kalwick, Account Coordinator
The opportunity to dive into hard-hitting PR lessons, challenges, and wins with my more senior colleagues, and to have everyone together in one room, was truly inspiring. As an Account Coordinator at Treble, and just eight months in, I’m constantly learning and growing. So much of that growth comes from the invaluable insights I gain from my colleagues. I’m incredibly grateful to be part of an agency where I genuinely view everyone as a mentor. This retreat left me feeling both refreshed and inspired!

Laura Corona, Assistant Account Executive
This year's retreat really focused on up-leveling our thinking and strategy as an agency to deliver impactful results to our clients. It is always a treat to connect with the entire team, and talk about the work we have been doing and the progress we are experiencing. More than anything, we are continuing to learn and efficiently adapt to the changing media landscape. It's exciting to see and discuss, while still making time to have fun and connect.

McKenzie Covell, Account Manager
Our San Diego team retreat was the perfect mix of work and play. We spent quality time together on boat cruises and around beach bonfires, while also diving into industry best practices and collaborating on fresh strategies for our clients. It's awesome getting to grow professionally while building stronger connections with everyone on the team.

Sydney Miner, Account Executive
I always love when the whole team is able to get together to collaborate and connect. At this year's retreat, we participated in various exercises to strengthen our skills, brainstormed new ideas to implement in our work and bonded over meals, a bonfire and a catamaran cruise. Since joining the Treble team, I've found that after leaving these retreats, I always come back feeling inspired and with lessons to take into my own work.

Jin Woo, Director of Media Relations
As an angler, nautical enthusiast and beach lover, San Diego provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and fun company retreat! We had the opportunity to share about our career journeys, experiences, challenges and resilience, discuss shifts in the media landscape, and how to better align and support CMOs and founders. This was one of those rare opportunities to come together to bond with the entire team and leave smarter, more energized and in awe of the growth and contributions of our peers!
